Cooker Hood Aluminium metal grease filters fo kitchen extractor fans, you can purchase these directly from Luxair. Metal grease filters can be placed in your dishwasher upright as you would a plate! This will remove the built up grease and make them look like new again, please do not use abrasive cleaners on either your filters or cooker hoods. Using an abrasive cleaning product can tarnish the filters.
Over the years, sizes do change of the metal grease filters and we are only able to advise on the size used on the current models. To ensure you order to correct filters, please measure your current ones in MM and select the nearest size from the menu on the left-hand size. Please note, the images online are stock images and do not represent the actual filters themselves - always go by the size/measurements of the filters that are the closest to the filters you have, rather than the online image.
Metal grease filters can be placed in your dishwasher upright as you would a plate. This will remove the built up grease. Please do not use abrasive cleaners on either your filters or cooker hood. Using an abrasive cleaning product can tarnish the filters.
The filters must be washed at least one a month with hot water and detergent.
If washing in a dishwasher, make sure to avoid substances with thinners, solvents, hydrochloric acid, bleach, alcohol or abrasive substances. Please do not wash the filters on a temperature higher than 60 degrees.
Avoid alkaline dishwasher detergents (with a pH value higher than 7). Depending on the cleaning agent used, cleaning the filter in a dishwasher can cause permanent discoloration to the surface. However, this will not affect the functioning of the filter in any way. After cleaning, leave the filter to dry on an absorbent surface before putting it back in place.
When your new filter arrives, it may have a blue protective film around the outer edge of the filter, this must be removed by simply peeling it off, it is only there to protect the steel edges from getting scratched in transit.
Filters are not covered by warranty
Filter Tolerances
Each filter image has the exact sizes shown directly on the product image you select.
When selecting your filters make sure you allow for some small tolerances in the sizes, for instance if your filter is 200mm x 300mm and our filter is 202mm x 298mm the chances are they will still fit your extractor.
Use the quick select chart on the category page to find your filter quickly.
If when you receive your new filters the tabs at the back of the filter don’t match your filter tabs, but the filter is of the correct size, you can do the following.
- Fold back the tabs using a flat screwdriver or flat metal object
- Using a sharp Stanley knife or similar sharp knife, lay your old filter on top of the new filter and cut the new tabs position to match your old ones, bend them out, that’s it done!
